City of Manassas wins Northern Virginia EMS Awards‏

City of Manassas, VA . . . The City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department has received the Outstanding EMS Agency Award by the Northern Virginia EMS Council. Recipients of these awards were selected based on their excellence in Emergency Medical Services in the Northern Virginia Region.  Regional EMS Award recipients are also entered into the Virginia Governor’s EMS Awards program to be announced in November.

Chief Brett Bowman and Battalion Chief Todd Lupton were on hand to accept the award for the department.  Also receiving an award today was Dr. Thomas Luckey from Novant Prince William Medical Center for EMS Physician with Outstanding Contributions to Emergency Medical Services.  Dr. Luckey works is the Operational Medical Director for City of Manassas Fire and Rescue personnel and even rides along on EMS calls.

The Northern Virginia EMS Council assists and supports EMS providers in the Northern Virginia region, which includes the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William; the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park; and the Metro Washington Airports Authority (Reagan National and WashingtonDulles International Airports).
