Manassas Holding Training Session for Community Emergency Response Team‏

City of Manassas, VA . . . Beginning Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. the City of Manassas Office of Emergency Management will be offering a training course for new members of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Training is free for residents of the City of Manassas and Prince William County.  This is a seven-week course, including one night a week and three Saturdays.  All equipment and training materials are provided at no cost to participants.

Becoming a City of Manassas CERT member means participants will be trained in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety; light search and rescue; team organization; and disaster medical operations.  CERT is about being ready, people helping people, rescuer safety and doing the greatest good for the largest number of people.  For more information about joining the City of Manassas CERT team, visit or email
