Rural Preservation Study Workshop

Prince William County is sponsoring a Rural Preservation Study Workshop on December 7, 2013 at Beacon Hall on the Prince William Campus of George Mason University, located at 10900 University Boulevard in Manassas. There will be multiple one-hour to one-and-a-half-hour work-sessions focused on different topics including: Preserving Rural Character; Land Preservation Techniques; Rural Area Business and Economic Development; and General Study Input. In addition, the workshop will feature an all-day, self-guided open house where members of the public can review information about the study, talk one-on-one to staff and provide their input. The open house will discuss the projects components including the guiding principles, Route 1 frontage conditions, opportunity areas, types of development, and most importantly – the design guidelines.
