Rural Preservation Study Workshop

Prince William County is sponsoring a Rural Preservation Study Workshop on December 7, 2013 at Beacon Hall on the Prince William Campus of George Mason University, located at 10900 University Boulevard in Manassas. There will be multiple one-hour to one-and-a-half-hour work-sessions focused on different topics including: Preserving Rural Character; Land Preservation Techniques; Rural Area Business and Economic Development; and General Study Input. In addition, the workshop will feature an all-day, self-guided open house where members of the public can review information about the study, talk one-on-one to staff and provide their input. Join Prince William County for a public informative meeting to review and provide input on the draft recommendations for the Marine Corps Base Quantico Joint Land Use Study on December 17, 2013 in Room 202 of the Development Services Building, located at 5 County Complex Court in Prince William. There will be an Open House and Public Exhibition of the Potomac Communities Design Guidelines on December 18, 2013 in the Atrium of the Ferlazzo Building located at 15941 Donald Curtis Drive in Woodbridge. The open house will discuss the projects components including the guiding principles, Route 1 frontage conditions, opportunity areas, types of development, and most importantly – the design guidelines.
