FCC Workshop July 10th: Prison Phone Rates

On July 10th the Federal Communications Commission will be hosting a day long workshop focused exclusively on Prison Phone rates to “consider whether changes to our rules are necessary to ensure just and reasonable [inmate calling services or ICS] rates for interstate, long distance calling at publicly- and privately-administered correctional facilities." It is vital that we be present and show support.
 
The purpose of this workshop is to gather additional data needed for the Commission to move forward on reforming phone rates in prisons..  This workshop will be free and open to the public and will feature advocates, regulators and even the prison telephone industry as speakers.
